Have a Savage 10fp rifle in .308 --- It has the swivel stud for bipod attachment....
I'd like to get a Harris bipod to put on there but I know (zero) about bipods......
I was thinking the Harris 1A2 6"-9" would be a good fit.
Any suggestions?

ALSO --- Will a Harris Bipod attach to my swivel stud on the Savage right out of the box, or do I need some sort of attachment device?

Thanks for the help...

Should work fine without modification. Did on mine. I have aftermarket B&C stock.

I have the standard one you have to adjust the leg lengths if you need to.

OK for the bench workbut I need to upgrade to the one that will allow me to adjust for cant. I cannot think of the correct name of this one at the time though...

The Harris is great. Check out the Versa-pod as well. If you do the Versa-pod, you should install the hand stop on the stud/swivel closest to the trigger. That would allow you to add a sling and still make use of the hand stop. You will not need any additional parts for either bipod.

Get the Harris S-BR. Adjustment for uneven grouns is a snap.
