Hey guys,

I have a 1899 Krag with distinct cartouche, I know it has been around the block but believe it is a shooter.

Looking for a reputable dealer/appraiser ifrom south of Denver Metro donw to Castle Rock who could take a look at it and tell me what I have.  From some initial research I think I am looking at anywhere from $600 to $1,400.  

If anyone knows someone like this in the vicinity, please let me know.

Might try Jouster.com and seek out Tom Pearce (that's his screen name too).

He's the most knowledgeable Krag guy I know of, should be able to help you.

Post some pictures. Since you say 1899, I presume you're talking about a carbine. I don't consider myself an expert, but I know a bit.
