Looking to finally get a real shooting pad now that my range has concreted the shooting platform.  Must be durable, waterproof, have decent amount of closed cell foam, and have rubber non-slip pads useable for both right and left hand prone position.  Don't care about knee pads, and some earth tone color that doesn't show the dirt would be nice.

So far, Dillon's mat seems to fit the bill at about $70.  Any other suggestions?  TIA, raf

According to a few highpower shooters I know the Dillon mat is to slick and it has some other problems that I can't recall right now.

That is from their experience and not mine. I have never used the Dillon mat.

I do have experience with the Champions Choice mat. It is about the same price and it is a really good product.

Creedmoor mat $80 is the way to go.

Highpower shooting mats like Champions Choice or Creedmor sell are very good proven designs. You do not wan't a waterproof mat !!! You wan't the mat to be the rain spong not you and they need to be washable..

Concrete sucks even with a shooting mat, you might consider getting an Aerobic Excersise Gym Pad or a GI foam pad that you can lay under a shooting mat for extra cushion.

A word of caution on the "rubber non-slip pads".....

THOSE THINGS GET HOT!!!

I had some nice second degree burns after using my Dillon shooting pad at a summer rifle match.

I just buy flannel mats made for photographers. My range has a covered shooting area so rain isn't a big issue.  Bought two recently at a camera store closeout sale for $5 each.  Not much padding for prone, but fine for covering a concrete bench.
