i cut off the obscene century blast enhancer and installed an original cetme a2 style flash hider. I have notice the rifle does not throw brass into low earth orbit now. Anyone else noticed this? the dang gun is now pleasent to shoot. Almost as if the break significantly increase pressures in the gun.

Brass is now consistantly landing about 4 feet in front and a bit to the right. It used to go 30-40+ feet stright out to the right. In fact it actually made a nice even pile. To say i am shocked is an understatement.

I had to install a HK port buffer to get that to happen, even after my fake fh swap.

Just make sure your chamber flutes are scrubbed out with a specific brush or .45 pistol brush. As long as the thing is not gumming up and ejecting less, congrats on your new ejection!

Being in CT, I can't put a FS on mine but how much do you enjoy the lack of compensator?

Is recoil much higher?  Is it, overall, more pleasant to shoot?

recoil on mine dropped about 20-30%. to be honest it's not much worse than my fal now. I'd say it is MUCH more pleasent to shoot. Noise cut down considerably as well. can't say for sure but i would swear the century break increases the gas pressure significantly on that gun. At least it sure feels like it.

Recoil dropped after you took the break off?

I have a feelin I'm going to try to get the break off when I have a chance...

I can't shoot my CETME very long anyway...  I really tuck my cheek up into the hump on the stock and my cheekbones can't take the hammering.  I still say the design is fabulous, tho.

Mine doesnt have a brake, and it still throws far to the right.

I got the model that didnt have a brake on it.

recoil drop ,,due to brake removall?/ now thats a first! anyway,, the brass should be thrown 20-30ft to the right at 90mph,,if not someting is wearing out,,BUT then recoil will be come more noticeable(worn LP as an example) you may be feeling less ""felt"' recoil ,,as for the rounds not ejection as bad as they did before,,i cant tell ya why unless ya give a whole history of mods done,,how many rounds thru it ect.
glad you happy with it,,im thinking of taking my MB off since i have 5 FH's lying around

with the old break it tossed brass about 30-50 feet to the right. the only thing done to it was removal of the break and installation of the a2 style cetme fh. gun has probobly 3-400 rnds through since i bought it. it was NIB from century when i got it. Rollers and such look new and no noticeable wear in the gun.

I used to get a bruise on my cheek from shooting it. Still recoils like a 308 but not nearly as bad as it was. The ejected brass lands pretty consistantly in one spot.

I'm shooting consistently to the left, probly 6 inches at 50 yds.  Any ideas?  Bang the front sight to the right?

Have you thought of anything to help with the continual raping of our cheekbones due to the groove in the stock.  I could only think of a rubber/foam pad of some sort...

have you adjuste dthe front sight??  if so did you do it correctly??   if so,, then the triple frame could be canted,, or the rear site could be canted,, vise it and look down and check to see if it is....

if your site is proerly adjusted all the way it's probobly an assembly problem. CAI had a few problems with those.

Allow me to introduce the problem inherent to living in one state and having the gun in another state:  I just don't know...

I just picked up a sight tool but havent had time to fiddle with the sights.  We had to pick up more ammo for it but only had time to function test it after reassembly.  Come late december, I'll play with the sights.

I was under the impression that CETMEs do not adjust for windage, only elevation...  it appears that I am mistaken?

EDIT:  I have limited safe-space here in PA and had to leave the CETME home.  I just took my Bushie this semester.  If all goes well, I'll take the CETME here in January.

got ot gun boards and  cetmerifles.com on hwo to adjustthe fron site,
basically it is an offset screw so,, 1/4 this way makes it impact left the other way to the right one full turn out lowers impact one full turn down raises ect,9most folks think its just up and down,),, get the instructions and go from there and do it at 25yrds withthe 200m peep9it will zero your rifle at 200m)

I love the mb on mine.  Nothing like loading up a mag with 20 rounds, and being behind Bookhound, then unloading 20 rounds in rapid fire down range!!!

Me:  BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG

Bookhound: DELTA YOU ASSHOLE!!!!!!
