I recently aquired an old bolt action 30-30 that used to belong to my great grandpa. I cant seem to find anything on it... other than it was dicontinued in 1950. It shoots great and I am planning on using it for my deer rifle this year. If anyone has any info please speak up!

EDIT: heres a pic...

The way I understand it is your 325 is a early version of "cheaper" savage 340. I had a 340
in 30/30, other than its less than grand apperance it shot great ( 1moa @ 100 yards with Win.150 grain ).

i own a mdl. 340 in .222 and boy oh boy is it a shooter!!  keep the screws snug on that rifle and clean the bore real good and try a few different loads and i bet you'll find it'll shoot better than you. i had to buy a few extra clips from  gun parts co. but i always like to have extra clips available. you see them around at gun shows here in the north east going for around $150-$200 in good shape.
