Are factory Ruger and PMI magazines the same thing?  In other words, did PMI make Ruger magazines under contract?

Where can I get some PMI magazines?  Who has them the cheapest?

thanks

You hear that stuff from the gunshow dealers.

If you have a factory Ruger 20 in one hand and a PMI 20 in the other you will NOT have any trouble telling them apart.

I would not go so far as to say PMI (aka Federal Ordnance) mags are the "next best thing".  In fact, they perform just as well as the Ruger factory mags.

PMI 40-rounders are the only mags I run in my MINI's.  Highly recommended by yours truly, after several thousand rounds with ZERO misfeeds or malfunctions.

Never tried factory mags, but do know the PMI mags work flawlessly for me.

I seem to be the only one to ever have a problem with PMI mags. I have 25 of them, both 20's and 30's blued and yes they feed great but I have to literally rip them out and pound them into the mag well.

So be careful and don't pay a premium for them.

I also have Ruger, Ramline, Eagle and both Blue and Stainless  USA's and I would put every single one of them up against my PMI's

No flip outs please or whatever they call it when someone starts to jump on someones post.

This is only MY personal experience with PMI mags.

By the way I have 3 mini 14's 1 regular and 2 ranch. Stainless and blue.

Unfortunately guys, Rugers stance is they will not sell them to anyone but LE Agencies, and that is for the foreseeable future.  I've had good luck with the PMI's as well.
