My fiance has given me the following options for my birthday and christmans gifts. My B-Day is October 23. I can spend up to $390 on mags and parts for my guns now, and get something medium sized for christmas. I already have a No-Ban AR15 CAR, Post Ban AR15 Dissapator, Glock G22, SAR-1, and Taurus PT-92 that could benifit from the lack of the AWB. I got 10 15 round NDF G22 mags, and some aftermarke mags for the PT-92, 10 SA80 AR15 mags, 10 Steel Bulgarian AK47 Mags. I would take part of the 390 and rebarrel the Post Dissapator to a 20in Goverment and the rest on mags. Or I can forgo the $390 now and the christmas gift and get a Savage FP-10 in .308 Win. I saw a tricked out rig when I pop the cherry on my no-ban CAR. It was so sweet. I am wanting to start hunting with my brother and the .308Win would be good for that. But it would take a lot of cash for good glass, sling, bipod and mounts. |
| I'd go with a bolt action .308 also. I'm not sure I'd want to hunt with a heavy barrelled tactical rifle, I think I'd rather have a regular old Remington 308. A guy who is a good shot and is armed with a regular old off the shelf .308 Remington is no one I would want to mess with. |
| get the savage ,,but for hunting,,id rather get the lighter 110 series or such, the newer savages all have the accu trigger,,, and a basic 10fp is 8 -9lbs while the others are 6 1/2 and have the same options,,, i have one in 300wsm,, and love it being as light as it is(under 7lbs loaded) its great for long hikes or long days,,,,, |
