Last weekend I went shooting with a friend of mine. I generally run Winchester Q3131A thru all of my .223 guns.4 AR`s and a Mini-14.
Now my friend has PMP so I tired some. It ran fine. PMP is also a little cheaper than Winchester. Any body here have any complaints about PMP ammo? I`m talking about 223 mostly, but I was also wondering about their other ammo (.308) too.

PMP (Pretoria Metal Pressings?) is the same company that makes the beloved SA battle packs.
I have shot lots of both with no problems at all.
Cheap and pretty accurate, always goes bang. What more can you ask? I love the stuff.

It is loaded to a lower pressure than M193 ammo, so it would be mainly for plinking and small game hunting.

That said, it is very good commercial ammo! The price is almost always very reasonable, and the brass is great for reloading!

Just be carefull reloading. I think the brass might be NATO judging by the lack of internal capacity when compared to Winchester.

DPMS recommends against it in their guns. I had some trouble with it in a DPMS rifle, but it has worked fine in several other AR15s. Watch-Six

Really? Any idea why? PMP meets ISO 9002 standards, and meets SAMMI specs. It should work fine in any firearm.

As was stated earlier, PMP made the battlepacks that everyone loves.

I use PMP commercial in my 2 Bushmasters, and it has never failed. Shoots better than UMP or American Eagle.

I got a case when I built my current 16" AR. Runs GREAT. I've shot about 500 rounds. Accurate enough (haven't really benched it to see), feeds and cycles great.

(BTW, it's a Bushmaster lower with RRA upper 16" SS bbl with CAR length handguards)

yo dude! I see, just couldn't take my word for it huh? Just kidding, I told you that PMP is good shit! So now you know what my M4gery likes to eat, I advise to go to surplus city immediately and get 500rds if you want to keep shootin it with me.....lol
