hi all looking in to getting a reloading set up. i have a delima though. cant decide on which press to go with. my 3 choices are the rcbs roch chucker supreme, dilleon 500 and a lee press. any advice? thanks lojack |
| probably going to get flamed, but I have had good luck with Lee.It is all I have ever used.I started with a challenger single stage and went up to a Lee turrent press.Have loaded thousands of rounds on these 2 presses. However If money is no object I would get a dillon. You pay a lot more upfront, but they have a lifetime no bs warrenty. |

You do not specify what calibers you intend to reload, but I recommend Dillon. Products are the best there is and the warranty is unbeatable. 550 for everything, 1050 for pistol and small rifles like .223, the 650 if ya got the dough will do most rifles and is more automated than the 550 but more difficult to change calibers than the 550, which is simple. 1050 is time comsuming to change with out lots of expensive spares. I own 2 1050s, 2 550s, 2 Square Deals for quickie reloads in .45ACP and 40 S&W with set charges I always use. Bottom line the 550 is versitile, easy to change calibers, and inexpensive. Buy extra heads for quick caliber change. Denny |
| I'd throw another vote in for starting with the single stage Rockchucker. Can't go wrong with that, you will learn all the operations one at a time. Later, after you are hooked on reloading you can get a progressive and you will still find uses for your single stage. |
