| Hold a .22LR in one hand and a .223 in the other. Look at the base of the casing. .22 has a rim, .223 doesnt. Simplest example. There are larger cartridges that are rimmed also, such at the .30-30 Winchester lever-action cartridge. Wont confuse you with rebated rim and belted magnum lol. |
