got my glock 23 yesterday only to have to send it back because they didnt give me the fully adjustable sites i ordered on it :(
but i was wondering. i want to use it for target shooting plus home defense and was wondering what yardage would be an all around one to sight in at? or is there such a thing?

30 yds.

I disagree......I'd say 29.51 yards.

well if you want to get technical you need to zero at 157 yds.  then if you aim at the belly button at 30 yds you can shoot head shots.

Big head or little head?

Almost all gunfights take place between 5-7 yards. IMO a precise shot for a hostage rescue would take place at 20 yards or less.

I sight all my pistols in for 20 yards.

I hate to say it at this point, but night sights are HIGHLY recomended.
