Is this your only AR?

If I was just going to have one rifle I'd have the chrome barrel.

If you have several it is not that big of a deal. The chrome is easier to clean and it is much harder to damage in normal use.

I'm sure you could make a more accurate barrel without the chrome though.

Does having a chrome lined bore that much better than a non-chrome bore. I am looking at a post ban colt with a non chrome barrel and all of my other ar's have it. Someone told me the non's were more accurate because of high spots in the bore due to the chroming process. need fast input as sale depends on data, thanks...

The two main purposes of chroming are to extend barrel life and increase lubricity. Chrome lining reduces accuracy slightly but unless you're looking for a bench rest rifle I wouldn't worry about it.

If its not an expensive match barrel then go chrome or go home.

I only use Colt or Bushmaster chome lined barrels.  It's about reliability.

All of my current barrels are chrome lined.  But to be honest, the most reliable upper I have ever owned had a non chrome lined barrel from J&T.  I would not worry about it.

Am I correct in saying the Colt you are looking at still has a chrome lined chamber?  If so, that is probably more important from a reliability standpoint than the barrel.
