| I just applied for my C&R license, what's the usual turn around time? |
|
My wait was about 6 weeks, although the check cleared in about three days. I then had another two week wait for the information packet. It's definitely well worth it though. I made the $30 back with my first Brownells order after getting the C&R. Definitely add Brownells and Midway to your list of intended recipients for your C&R, as you will get dealer pricing from them. Have fun! |
It depends upon the item. I've seen discounts anywhere from zero to close to 50%. I just bought a LULA for under $20 delivered...a stripped CAV lower runs around $30 less than retail...a gallon of MPro7 spray is under $40, etc. However, on many "tools" (specifically gunsmithing tools) there is no discount. I haven't looked around much at Midway recently to be able to quantify it for you, but they offer "dealer" pricing as well. |

Took a couple of months for mine, then again my NICS check was screwed up and I had to deal with my local courts to get it cleared up. The story: Many years past a minor trespassing charge, caught swimming in a (radioactive even!) quarry that was alledgedly posted. Was on Dept. of Conservation land. Showed up in NICS check with no disposition. Had to get copies of court paperwork and send to BATF to prove I wasn't a felon on had charges pending. It was loads of fun but in retrospect well worth it, my C&R has saved me loads of money (But then again I have spent far too much so who is to say :) ) |
