I went to the local gun show on Sunday and brought my Universal M1 carbine. I just brought so I could find parts and accessories for it. This is one of the older Universals that are close to GI, I also added a Indland trigger housing to it as well as a M2 stock. Anyway, I was approached 5 or 6 times with offers for trade
or to sell it. One guy wanted to trade a 92 FS for it and another wanted to trade a mint MAS 49/56 for it. Seems that carbines are popular again at the shows in Denver.

Hate to throw a turd in your punchbowl but Universals are the brand everyone avoids. WW2 mil-surp guns are much much better.

I know the rep Universals have but you can't complain when a weapon is given to you for free.
This is one of the older ones with the single op-rod (ser#40xxx) not the crappy dual op-rod models that came out later. Maybe I should have traded but I already have three hand guns and that 7.5 french ammo is hard to find.

No doubt!  >gg<  I'd still trade it for a mil-surp model though.
