I have a brand-spanking new 16" A-3 upper. Any input on break-in procedures?

Fire as many rounds you wish. Clean it before you put it in the safe. Repeat often.

As one of the McMillian guys said, break-in was created by some barrel manufacturer who wished to sell more barrels. The result was to have people clean often and 'damage' them.

If you search around, you can find that article.
