I'll be getting a 9mm commander in a few days. Anyone got one? How do you like it? Where can I get mags...any thoughts tips or tricks?
I have an LEGP 1911 and a G19. I love em both..this seems like the perfect marriage. I may have to get a Glock 45ACP.

why get an underpowered wannabe?

stick with the .45 in the 1911 style.

that is my biased unsolicited opinion.

I had a G23c that I got in a deal for a shotgun. Didnt use it or want it really. So I traded it for the Colt. I really like 1911's.
I have a 1911 and a G19. I get a 9mm 1911 in a size I might carry. I cant carry the 1911 its too big and heavy. One less calibre in the collection.

my carry is a Colt compact (officer)
.45 and a nice size. and I agree that the full size and my HKUSP45 is too big for everyday carry

I've got one my Dad gave me.  It is very pleasant to shoot and my wife absolutely loves it.  It isn't the most accurate 9mm I own but it does all right.  I recently reblued it and the photos can be seen here:

Here's how it looked until recently.

I have an orriginal colt commander in .45 acp, I love it, it's pefect for carry, and is very reliable. ie.  never jams, stovepipes, or miss feeds with any type of ammo.  can't speak for the 9mm. but if it's as good as the original, than it's a good weapon to have in your hands.
