| I was wondering if anyone here knew whether storing a rifle with a wooden stock in a shed (where it is dry, but can get down to -30 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter) would damage the stock of the rifle after a storing it there for a long time? |

I think the most important consideration is keeping the rifle stock as dry as possible. This is because if any moisture were to get inside the wood fibers of the stock (condensation), and it freezes, it will cause the wood grain to expand and cause cracks in the wood. |
