Ok...(flame suit on)...go ahead and let me have it!

Has anyone had any good experience with CAI Garands?

Does anyone here know who actually made the receivers?

I know this has been done before and I don't want to go through all of it again. I ask because my local range is having CMP match soon and this is all I've got.

 Thanks,

Don't know those, but they're the same one that is sold at the Big 5 sproting stores.

Ya know, Sprinfield is making "new" Garands now.  They have a new receiver using "excelent parts kits" if I recall.  The barrel is new.... look on the homepage.

No need for flame suit........yes some people do......and some don`t.....cia is generally hit and miss.......but.....if you have a good one fine.......if you don`t......well as far as I know.....century has a return policy......fact is......while they are not the best place to buy from....maybe....they have been around for a long--long time....and as far as I know....they have a satisfaction type of warranty.......does that mean you are going to get a genuine original cmp type garand?......no......but....I do know one person who would never buy a cmp rifle.......so...again.....if it works....great!........it is probably a mongrel.....but.....oh well......most of them are nowdays.......

I guess I don't understand.  Do you already own a CAI "Garand"?  If you do, then you probably already know how it will perform in the CMP match, good or bad.

I believe that CAI gets their receivers from Lithgow.  I could be wrong, though.

On the bright side, once you shoot the CMP match, you can buy a real Garand from the CMP.

1.  COLLECTIBLE?????  If it ain't ALL USGI, it is NOT collectible.

2.  If it is .308, it is no longer a Garand.  I'm sorry, I know it's anal, but a Garand is .30-06, period!
