Well here is my question. Its also for states like NJ MA and NY. What happened over the years that made these states so seriously anti gun?I`m only 22 and I can remember a better time. And while we are on the subject why are cities so anti gun?I live in Philly the current mayor doesn`t seem as bad as the last one.Of course I got sick of watching the news media.

Hippies, hippies are the problem. I’m not writing about just people with long hair, but those people who believe that love for your fellow man will always prevail over any type of aggression. This can work with younger kids who are problems, but not with the young adults and adults that have had the aggression hard wired in to them over the years. Damn hippies. Bigotry is the biggest prompt for victim disarmament. Look at the Sullivan laws of MA and the laws that kept freed slaves from owning firearms, basic fear of anyone that is different and keeping the means of self-defense out of so called “undesirables”. It could also be part of the large plan to disarm the general populous. |
| Some prefer to scapegoat inanimate objects rather then look into their own heart and face the demons that lie within. In other words, it's easier to blame guns for societal ills than it is to blame the person behind the gun. The Democrats are experts in pandering to that ilk and that is why most of the problems happen within major cities and why city government is unwilling to take the steps necessary to deal with the real problem. |

223spree, so you are only 22, i hardly belive you can remember a better time !! because when i think back 22 years, i was fighting the anti-gun idiots for 22 years then !!!!! the problem started when certain liberal mothers thought that playng aggressive games such as "Cowboys & Indians", was too far out, then came the banning of cap guns that looked like real guns, simply because at about the same time a bunch of paranoid cops started shooting kids with cap or water pistols.., then the liberal politicians saw the hand writing on the wall & jumped on the anti-gun band wagon..... cities are so anti-gun because liberals seem to flock towards crowds for protection from the liberal nasties/criminals..., there are two types of liberals, those that cringe in fear of the liberals who "FEEL" that any other persons property belongs to them & they can take it by force........, i.e., kill'm & a gun just happens to be the perfect tool for their evil deeds....... a liberal with a gun is always bad news......!! |

Wake up people! It's NOT just the democrats. The politicians are giving people what they want. The nation, as a whole, is against us. They have been fooled into thinking guns are evil and should be banned. It's up to us to show them the truth. Don't place your trust in any politician. They are not the answer. The politicians are only interested in power. The less you have, the more they have. Notice how many countries pointed to as models of gun control started those controls in reaction to revolution or potential revolution. Mexico introduced the ban after the (probably justified) insurrection in Chalapas (sp?). And, in Britain, after WWI the heirarchy feared insurrection not only because of the Irish situation, but from their own people after what they suffered in that fraud of a war. |

We, This country has a lot of me firsters who love security and have allowed the politicians and the government beaucrats to dominate the regulations. Many times the regulations have already been drawn up and are just waiting for a law or an executive order. There are many government servents that have been rewarded for failure to perform their jobs. The education department is so poorly run that no accounting is possible resulting in a loss of 24 billlion dollars of OUR money. We have social workers prescribing ritalin for kids who don't need it. California is wallowing in a cess pool of regulations and red tape and high taxes. Not to mention that the state of california is trying to tax it's way to prosperity and driving ut jobs in the process. Their senators even closed off a large part of public land making it inaccessable. They are protecting it for future generations who will never see it. School violence was mostly unheard of in the 60s and 70's. Then the circulium has gravitated more and more tothe PC BS that is prevalent today. What have the schools taught that would make otherwise normal teens bring a gun to school and start shooting? I kind of think that the kids are not stupid and they know BS when they see it. It's time for the socialist experiment to end. It is a failure. But the govenrment will not admit it. (you can take your pick on that one state or federal). They continue to tax people into poverty and state high moral ground while they are robbing peple of their liberties. Democraps are the biggest clupret, with the republicans being spineless enough to allow it. Of course I could be wrong LOL |

Cactus Jack what I meant was that it didn`t seem as bad back a few (pre kliton and Bush 1)years ago.Take toy guns for example my parents and Most of my friends parents had no problem with toy guns.I remember a friend o mine who had a wall full of toy guns.And on the subject they did look like the real deal.Now toy guns if they are shaped like an M16 at all are all weird colors.Also I some people at work say that their kids are not allowed to play with toy guns.And of course those people say no to guns in general. |

California, Oh California. God save us from the F*kin Politicians. I am now the proud owner of four REGISTERED ASSUALT WEAPONS. You are right, the more we are dependent on the government, the more power they have over us. I have lived here 99% of my lifetime. About 43 years. It has become the immigrant state. Democrats rule. We are without a budget, a 25 billion deficit. My state will need to hit bottom in one or two years then we will see the democratic party burn for decades for ruining the state. I have been wondering what state would suit me better. I have desires to become an entrepreneur somewhere else. I do not want to pay much in taxes anymore. God save us. |
Why is it in every thread where California comes up there's always some ASSHOLE who wants to take MY HOME from me and give it to Mexico without asking if that's ok with me first? |
