| what are good ways of removing copper fouling from barrels? I soaked the barrel of my swedish mauser for a bit with shooter choice and the match came out really blue. When I look down the bore I can see traces of copper... I heard of sweets solvent but I heard they are bad for stainless steel (I got other guns that are stainless) |

Sweet 7.62 is all I use on my LR AR and it's stainless, all we (dad, uncle, gunsmith friend) ever use is Sweets and I've never heard of it harming any stainless steel barrel. IMHO, think person that told ya that don't know his butt from a hole in the ground. My 2cents, Mike |

A lazy (but smart) guy might use the reverse electrolytic gizmo from Outers. Called Foul Out. You plug the breech, fill the bore with the proper solution for the type of fouling you want to remove, insert electrode, connect rifle and electrode to power pack, and come back a few hours later. No effort, and no abrasion of the bore or muzzle. |

Has anyone tried mpro7? They say it removes fouling by removing carbon which causes the fouling in the first place... how about blue wonder's cleaner? they say its real effective at removing fouling as well.... I was also wondering if anyone tried to use foul-out to chrome plate something? or maybe use it to plate copper onto lead bullets? |
