| I saw these 22 super maximum rounds made by aguila and they have a 30gr coppered lead bullet with a velocity of 1750 fps and 204ft lbs, would these be a good idea for a defense pistol or rifle if the 223 isn't around? |

I've tried those Aquila Super Maximum rounds and had a lot of duds in my particular brick. Though they list the velocity as 1750 fps, real World numbers will probably be less. I agree with Troy, a high velocity full weight (40 grn.) bullet would be better. Maybe the new CCI Velocitor might fit the bill? milesfortis.com/guests/mcump/mc09.htm |
I don't believe Triton makes the Quik- shok in .22, but I have used these. They are not very accurate in my guns, but if you connect on a small animal, like a squirrel, they are absolutely devastating.
