went to range today to shoot a new upper i bought at gun show last year.a stainless bull barrel,20 inches lomg. i was using a dpms lower and tin(titanium nitride)coated bolt assembly.
the gun would not eject after each shot, i traded my colt bolt assy. and then it would extract but it wouldnt load a round. i had to pull the charge handle to load each time.
i know it wasnt the mags or ammo because afterwards i tried everything in my colt and it worked great, no problems.
anyone have any ideas?
thanks for your response.

What ammo were you using?  It can be the ammo because if you're using mil-spec 5.56 you can experience failures to extract from a .223 chamber.  Your barrel being a bull barrel would increase the probability that it would/could have a match or .223 chamber.

I had the same thing happen to me with my DPMS bull barrel, I was using 556 mil. ammo and switched to match ammo and it works like a dream, its all in the chamber

Sounds like a short stroking, pretty common in new uppers, really.
Lube it up real good, check the carrier key screws, the gas tube alignment, the gas block set screws.
Should get better the more you shoot it.
