At ETH's farm, I had a very strange problem with a .22 conversion kit. I was told, by Frisco, that it would fit any glock 19 or 23 frame. I attached it to my Gen 2 Glock 19 and blasted away. It was Frisco's kit, so I tried it on my frame. No problems until I tried to take the kit off my gun. I tried and tried to remove it. Others tried as well. It appeared the takedown 'bar' was wedged in place, so I was able to remove the bar. The slide/barrel would still not come off. It would move backwards, but not forwards. Finally, in desperation, i pushed hard on the back of the slide to see if there was ANY forward travel and it released. It released so quickly, and i was puching so hard that I slammed my hand into the glock guts and got a nasty blood blister and cuts! The slide and barrel assembly hit the ground to my left. Why did it get stuck? Anyone here have an answer? I still have no idea why it would not come off. I still don't know what it was hanging up on. Guesses? Similar experiences? TRG |
