instead of the usual, black and camo finishes,  are there others?  please post some photos.  i think i once saw a ar15 that was black and bright yellow. looked like it should be on a construction site.

And I'm sure you've all seen Garandzilla by now.

No offense to those of you who like this finish, but on a garand, it makes me cring

I sorta agree.  Neat camo, kinda like wartime Navy ship camo...but on a Garand?  Still better than that pimped out, bubba-ized Garand someone posted pix of a while back.

Its camo but, kinda not 'usual' camo...

I also like some of the sparkle red or blue jobs I see on some 'race' guns.

I was wondering when you were going to post a picture of the new finish. It looks good, now if you only could have a 30rnd mag to match

This was what I built instead of the original "uglygun" I was thinking of building for my first accurized AR15, the inspiration for my screen name was actually due to an all "grey/green" AR15 that I was thinking of building using DPMS grey finished metal parts along with Armalite green furniture.

This is what I ended up with instead after pricing everything out and deciding to go right for a JP Enterprises upper assembly.

Eventually it got it's lower receiver teflon/moly coated after I found it getting some minor rust spots.    Then after that the rest of the gun started growing a greenish fungus colored paint job.
