I have 2 Colt 6830 7.62 x 39 Lowers. I have decided to sell one of them and keep the other. I took one of the lowers off and noticed that the .223 mags will fit perfectly. My question is, can I put a .223 upper on the 7.62 x 39 lower without altering the lowere or upper?

The only difference in the two lowers is -

the printing on the magazine floorplate!

So yes, it will work with a .223 Rem upper.
