Anyone know who can modify a 7400 to accept M14 mags?

A) I've never heard of it being done, especially given the 7400's soft receiver.

B) Why would you want to?

Just thinking outloud about a poor mans AR10. I wasn't aware the metal was soft on the receivers.

I know there are 10 round mags available. Just thinking about a tactical version of an existing inexpensive rifle.

Heck yes. The 7400 has a soft aluminum receiver that gets gouged like a MF from the bolt. They're so bad that my local gun shop owner won't even look at one if it's offered for trade-in.

As for a poor man's AR-10, try getting a FAL or G3 parts gun. They're to be found in the $400 & up range. Hope this helps.
