What's a fair price to offer on a preban bushmaster XM15E2S with the 11" upper (and 5.5" pinned flash suppressor), in very nice shape?  It includes a Bushnell holosight too.

I wouldn't pay more than $1000.

$1,200 - $1,400 is a fair price if it's 92% or higher condition.  Try and negotiate in as many 'goodies' as possible (mags, case, ammo, etc.)

OK, maybe $1,100, but I don't consider the upper to be worth all that much.  I'd pay for the lower, and get a true 16 inch barrelled upper.

(I still don't understand the point of 11.5 inch uppers with 5.5 inch flash hiders)

The holosight is worth at least $50 extra!

I too am baffled by the 11.5" + 5" configuration.  It's going on ebay as soon as I get this rifle.

Try selling it here first, you may actually do just as well and not have to hassle w/ auction time period & ebay fees.  If in near mint shape the value would be $400-420 to start out at, $375-85 would most likely be a quick sell.

I like that configuration, it looks cool, I guess thats about it though. the preban bushmaster lower alone is worth $1000 if you can get a preban bushy for under $1300 its a real good deal.

It measures 16" including the flash supressor. as opposed to the 17.3" OAL of a 16" Brl with FS. Plus it allows proper indexing of the bayonet.

May not be important to you. But when you want the shortest posible OAL the 16" +FS is just too long.
