It says that it takes up to 90 days to receive your CCW once you send all the paperwork in.  Can any of you Florida guys tell me how long it took yours to get back to you?  I'm just curious if it's actually going to take about 90 days, or if it will come significantly sooner.  My guess is that it going to take the full 90!

Generally, right up to the full 90 days. Stinks, but is better than not at all.

If memory serves me.. it is right at 90 days for a 'first time' applicant.

I originally got mine in 1997 (so it may no longer be representative) but I don't think it took the full 90 for me. If memory serves it was around 50-60 days.

Good luck with yours!

I'm sure it will depend on their workload but they'll use up most of the 90 day period.

I got mine in about 10 weeks.

Right about 60 days for me in 1997.  A possible reason for the 90 day delays some expect is the responsiveness or lack thereof by the FBI on the fingerprints.  If the FBI doesn't get back to FL, then the license must be issued after the 90 day wait.  If FBI responds sooner, then FL can issue sooner.

Mine took 90 days to the exact day-Nov 11th was the day I sent it off and March 11th the day I rc'd it. Funny thing about it was last week at the range I just happened to mention it and the guy shooting next to me sez "Mine took exactly 90-days to the day too." Then his buddy chimes in, "Yeah, so did mine-no kidding!" Strange coincidence?
The four guys I work with got theirs ranging from 6 weeks to around 9 weeks.

Shocked Me....6 weeks. But then I have several occupational licenses that require fingerprinting. That may have helped speed it up.

Does anyone know if you can carry a machinegun in Florida with your CCW?
