Looking at a Colt Sporter lightweight S# SL0184XX Was wondering preban status. I was told it was made by colt before the ban. It has the reg preban upper less the bayo attachment.

All Colt Sporters are "preban". All Colt Match Targets are "postban". Doesnt that make it simple?

Yes I Picked it up today. Now I know you can't rate a gun 100% but the lower is damn close. The upper has a few marks and Id rate 96-97%. Best deal Ive ever fallen into.

Congrats on a great find!

I paid $9 bills for on a year ago - included several Colt mags.. have since modified to A1 (shorter) buttstock for my wife.. very nice config for her!.. gonna be looking for optics at BRC to further "hook" her on the addiction!
