I picked up a rifle at the gunshow this past weekend, and would be grateful if someone could give me an idea what it is worth.
I have an Slr-95 with a 100rnd drum a 75rnd drum 4 30rnd mags and 2 10rnds.I was told the rifle has the correct # of parts for the pistol grip and but stock to be added on ( it has the pre-ban configuration).
It's in pretty good condition but has been fired some.

O.K. I'll tell you what i know but some of the prices may be inflated due to the ban we have here in California.

When I bought mine, I got one of the first ones in the country, it cost $329 + tax + fees.

Right before the ban took effect, they were going for as much as $800. This was the highest price i've seen here for any AK that I know of.

I do know that they would go for about $500-600 about a years or so before this all happened.

In my honest opinion, this is the best or one of the best AK's made in 7.62x39

It has a hammer forged barrel by Styer and shoots extremely well.

I forgot to mention.

Unlike most AK's the Bulgarians/SLR-95s have MILLED receivers not the stamped sheet metal ones like most others.

I believe that is one of the main reasons it shoots so well.

The best results i've had was using American Eagle (Federal). Better quality ammo seems to help too!

SLR-95 with the US parts = $525 - $550
100rd drum = $110 - $120
75rd drum = $80 - $90
4 - 30rd mags $30
2- 10rd mags = $10

Grand total of $755 (if it was all NIB)
If used, I'd say about $650 for all of it. How much did you pay?

I paid $279 for mine in 1996. I've seen them as high as $800 since then but right now the rifle alone sells for around $600 new. With all the drum mags and all, I'd say if you paid $700 or less you got a deal. SLR-95's are the best AK's I've seen - I'll be keeping mine.
