I'm sure this has been done but I couldn't find anything in the archives so... Is there a (legal) limit on how much ammo one may keep on hand? |
Actually, my employer gives me taxpayer purchased ammo to shoot. My employer also provides a vehicle, so that is where I store the ammo. I keep a few hundred for contingencies. The rest is just stuff I haven't gotten around to shooting yet. I don't keep any issued ammo in my house, but I do have plenty moe of my own personal ammunition. |
Well, I hope there isn't any truth to that rumor... if it's true, I guess I'm an 'armory'... several times over... |
No kidding in have that much in .22lr alone, and about the same on .223 |

IIRC the 10,000 round limit is per DOT regulations. There was a gun store some months back that got their inventory confiscated by some overzealous DOT agent for not having the proper permits. Since the last fun show, I have increased my ammo inventory to: 100 rounds of Remington 158gr SWCHP .38 +P 100 rounds of eley .22lr Oh yes and an extended life battery for a cell phone with 911 on autodial, if and when I can afford one. |
Pushing the limits of reason as you are, I think you should change the autodial to a good atty's number, you know what 911 will bring!!! |
