Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - DPMS Lower, forged or cast

Hi all,

I've been looking at a DPMS.

Now I cant find any info on their website about the Lower receivers.

Do they cast them or are they forged ?

And can somebody tell me the Pro's and Cons of  forged v cast.

If anyone can help out ?

They sell both types.  The forged ones have a lot better finish on them.  I am sure both will hold up fine however.

i have a forged one and it like it a lot.  also have a stainless one too.  good stuff.  there should be a letter prefix to the SN i.e. C or F.
