The only Atchisson I’m familiar with was his “Streetsweeper” prototype of the late 1960’s. If that’s the A-10 your on the right track. Back around 1980 I met a fellow trying to sell a select fire 12ga. later called the “Atchisson Assault 12” the company's name at some point was “Scepter”. The deal was you paid $300 and if the gun made it to production you got one. I far as I no production guns were produced. This is the local representatives Shotgun News ad for the “Atchisson Assault 12”. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraida/p371f63deeeb612006a38919d504c9097/fdda9b5d.jpg Full size here. www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4291959085 |

Then in 1982 after the failure of the “Atchisson Assault 12” our local rep decided to bring out his own shotgun base on the AR-10. He had been making semi-auto AR-10 lowers. Using a Teclo AR-10, a mock up was made, an ad run in Shotgun News. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraida/p65818bbe54120cc24238dd92b1c40fc9/fdda9944.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraida/pf7e3960df64323f6fce200568d6a8d96/fdda9720.jpg full size at above link http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4291959085 What I have pictured in my original post is the firing prototype. |
