So, you just slap your can on there now??

I guess once you pay the tax on the can once, you can use it on anything. its not like the can is "registered" to any particular firearm, right????

Right.

I can put on:
- M16
- AR15
- HK33
- Aug
- bolt-gun
- ...(anything Gemtech makes a bi-lock for)

On your AR-15, how well does the bi-lock work as a flash suppressor when you don't have the can attached?

TIA!

Same as an A2 flash-hider.

The AR15/M16 uses the slotted bi-lock. Non-slotted version on a bolt-gun.

Thanks, that's good to know. I've got a Phantom on my 11.5" SBR, which, being that short, needs all the help it can get. I've been thinking about getting a suppressor, and was wondering about flash without it.

drfcolt,

How loud is an AR-15 with the Gemtech on it?  I assume barrel lenght makes a difference, too?

Thanks.

Sounds about like a 22LR with FEDERAL 55gr FMJBT.

Have you had experience with other suppressors?

Yes, I have a Gemtech Talon-SD 9MM suppressed upper and Gemtech Hornet 22LR suppressor on my M16/22, also M4-96D fits my M4 Commando:

Is this thing on?

aa777888-2,
Doc Dater won't warantee his M4/96D cans for 11-1/2" barrels.

From what I understand there is some problem with the 62gr BTFMJ stabilizing in the can with the extremely violent blast of the 11-1/2" barrel.  IIRC, there is also a problem with subsonic rounds.

He did not mention any problems with 55gr FBJHP bullets.
