Is this stuff meant only to be used to reblue stripped gun metal?

Can it be used make poorly or worn blued gun metal look nice?

I just reblued an old pistol with Laurel Mountain Barrel browning and it didn’t come out that nice.

So I was thinking maybe this Brownells Oxpho Blue add some luster to it.

Works good. I've used it on stripped and for touch up. Instructions available at their website.

I have used it to touch up as well, degrease and warm the part a little, it helps.

I've used it as well.  I have a number of cold blue products - they all seem to give a slightly different finish and it's helpful to have several to get a good match.
And the suggestion to make sure it's clean! is good, and it does indeed help to have it a little warm.
