I want to duracoat a complete lower but it's my first rifle painting experience and I have a few questions.   Do I have to disassemble the lower?  If i do on the trigger/safety/take down holes do I need to tape it off so duracoat doesn't get in the holes?  Same thing with the magwell where should the limits of painting be?   Any help would be appreciated.

I disassemble all my lowers before painting them. For the pin holes, I roll up little pieces of paper and stick them through so no paint gets inside the holes. For the top of the lower, and inside where the trigger comes out, I tape them off with blue painters tape.

I use slave pins in the holes....I coat the complete innards of the lower...trigger and magwell all gets color.  I use the SL duracoat also.
