You don't "need" to do anything according to Duracoat.
I suggest at the bare minimum scuffing with a scotch bright pad. For best performance, and what I do, lightly blast at a low pressure with 120grit aluminum oxide. If you don't have access to a blaster, just try to get it scuffed up good. It won't be the best finish in the world, but it should work ok. |
