[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Preval Sprayer For Moly Resin

Has anyone had any experience using a Preval sprayer to apply Moly Resin? I am going to use some Moly Resin to finish some aluminum tools in my shop and don't want to buy an airbrush if I don't really need to. Thanks in advance.

Don't know..All I ever used was an air brush...

Yeah, I need to give them a call. I'm worried the preval might put it on too thick. I might buy a cheap air brush at harbor freight.

I use a Badger 250 which was $25.00 at Michaels Crafts.

Many years ago my Moly Resin came with a prevail sprayer,From Norrells. I think Walmart carries the Prevail sprayers

If you are talking about the kit with a baby food jar and aerosol sprayer, then yes it will work with Norrell's Moly resin. It just sprays a little heavy so be careful for runs or drips.

I think you will get a better finish with an air brush...I always do...!

For the cost of the Preval sprayer, you could but a cheap air brush at Harbor Freight, that's assuming you have a compressor.

Edit: same cost as the Preval at walmart, it's what I have used. I have some expensive dual action airbrushes, and this works just fine for single colors.

For $10 you can't beat the Horrible Freight sprayer. I have the Badger 250 and the HF airbrush is identical.

I just used a regular sprayer off my compressor in the garage. worked fine.
