I would call it a success. The pix uploaded kinda grainy sadly but the fit and finish are nice
I used this http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q246/gotallica/Ender600.jpg http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q246/gotallica/Ender661.jpg http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q246/gotallica/Ender681.jpg http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q246/gotallica/Ender662.jpg i used a cheapy badger single action air brush with 3 air cans, the spray went on surprisingly smooth and easy and i only had to rotate through the cans once all in all i am very happy with the results |
| I didn't measure it or anything but if you look on the cerakote container I poured about from the top of the black labe to the first white line on the label and I only used about 3/4 of what I poured, thank you guys for the compliments I'm really happy with the results |

Did it cover well? How many coats? |
| I did about 2 passes with the air brush and it covered amazingly well, I was honestly shocked at how well it coated without running. I'm not trying to sell the product or anything, duracoat might go on just as well but I can't stress enough how easy it was to apply a simple single color coat. Anyone who is mechanically inclined probably won't have any issues with this if you just take your time and don't rush |

Looking at the pictures they look perfect. I'm looking to paint my precision rifle and have been practicing with Kylon. I may have to give that Cerakote a look. How much prep work did you have to do? ETA: What size container did you get? |
| Ya it's the air dry I didn't want to deal with oven curing, yes I sprayed the insides of both the upper and lower just to see how e wear would be and the jar is a 4oz jar. I thing NiC says the 4oz air dry is good for 3 complete long guns or something like that, or maybe I just read that on some else's cerakote review but it goes a long way. The container also says it has a 6 month shelf life in the fridge |

| Oh and to D-RAS03 the prep work was basically an acetone bath for a few min on each part followed by a taping of the areas I did not want any paint, I only had a small container to soak them in so the butt stock and the barrel did not fit, for those I just got a rag and gave them a shower for a few. Also make sure to wear gloves so as to not get any oils on the parts, I used nylon glove but the acetone ate right through them in about 10 seconds flat so I had to handle them quickly, I'm sure latex would hold up better I just didn't have any :( |

Stuff seems pretty easy to use all around. |
