| I saw this as an add on when looking at Bison 6.8 barrels. I want a black finish on my barrel, but this looks cheap. Is this stuff legit? GTG or steer clear? What are my options? |

KG Gun Kote has been around for many years and is know as a pretty durable coating. It's used by the military, tons of manufacturers, etc. KAC uses it for the M110, and other FDE rifles.
It is like any other coating, though: the surface prep and process are everything if you want durability. Assuming that whoever applies it is not a pig or an idiot, it is a good finish. |
