I've read of a few good home brew parks, but I went the AGI route when I did my rifle. I had to do another recoil lug and tried home brew and it didn't do nearly as well.
The basic premise I remember was keeping the solution warm (just under 200 degrees), letting the phosphoric acid eat on a biscuit of steel wool, and lightly deposit manganese (or what ever color you want) on to the parts. Very cool process and a lot fun to experiment on. |
