I have had great success with Norrelss heat cured moly resin on both metals and plastics. I do have a couple questions answered before I approach my next refinishing job. 1. Is the air dry product as durable as the heat cured product? 2. Can I mix the heat cured products to make customs colors i.e Flat Blk with Flat OD Grn? 3. Will the moly resin adhere to a blued or polished surface as good as a media blasted surface? |
Hmmmm, I don't know.
Yes.
No. It needs some surface texture to adhere well. Bead blasting doesn't do it. You need a mild abrasive and the best way to do that evenly is a blasting cabinet. A parkerized surface is just about perfect. I don't know of any spray-on coating that will adhere well to a polished surface. Of course, you can always ask John Norrell. |
