Getting ready to order some coating...... Those that have used the different brands (Duracoat, Norrell's Moly-resin, KG, etc) how much did you buy and how much did you have left over after your project. I don't want to buy too little, but also don't want to have a bunch of left overs. |
| I did my upper, lower and barrel in Duracoat Aug Green, got the 4oz bottle and barely used half of it and that was 3 coats on each piece.....Now I need to order tan and black and the tan will only be used to spray a 10" handguard so I'll have a ton of that laying around never to be used. |
Its all a matter of how you have your pressure set for air. Too much air, and you will waste a lot of product. Norrells and KG will go a long way, and the smallest Norrells bottle is good for 2 or 3 AR15s. |
