[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Refinishing buffer tubes?

On collapsible stock buffer tubes. how many have done these in moly resin? If so how well does it do with the stock being moved back and forth on it? I am thinking about going to a completely tan rifle and was curious how well the buffer tube is going to do? If anybody has any pics of such pleasse post em.

Plastic on metal, the Norrell's holds up pretty well. Metal on metal, not so well.

There wouldn't be any problems. I've done it on a few, but I haven't taken any pictures as they weren't my weapons.
