The only paint I've removed was Krylon and MEK makes that a very easy undertaking.

I just have a couple of old (wood) stocks that I'll be refinishing.
Other than that, I was just curious to know if this stuff has any affect on finishes such as Duracoat.

Don't get it on AL or painted surfaces. I learned that the hard way.

Hmmm .... I can understand keepin' it away from painted surfaces, but the can says it's safe for 'metal' ?? Guess they don't consider Al. to be a metal.

Yeah my can of ZAR says all metal except aluminum, anything with methylene chloride in it.
Which of course is one of the chemicals that make a good paint and varnish remover.
