Not that I've found. I just went through the same thing. I wanted to strip the lower down back to the origional finish. After all day in Acetone I was no closer to removing the finish. I took it to the machine shop and had them Glass Bead blast it. That removed the Dura Caot w/ no problem. With a light enough hand you could remove only the Dura Coat and leave the anodizing on the receiver. My machine shop didn't have that lite touch, so I had to order Dura Coat Parker finsh to refinish the gun Good Luck |
| Before it cured Acetone and a green scratch pad will remove it. The longer it sits the harder it is too get off. Once cured blasting is the best way to remove it. Use 60 to 80 grit alum oxide, then go over the surface with 120 grit alum oxide before applying another coating. |
