I have tired to paint a fiberglass stock for my SKS in a digital desert camo pattern using Krylon and the Bulldog template stickers.  After I did the second color and started peeling the stickers off one side of the stock looked great, but the paint peeled right off on the other side.  I prepared both sides the same, by cleaning off with acetone.

The only thing I can think is that the Krylon is about a year old?  Would that cause problems?  And why would it peel on one side and not the other?

Please help!

How long did you let the Krylon cure before you pulled it off?

I let the base coat cure for 4 days before putting the stickers on and painting the second coat.

It may not make any difference but I seem to remember reading that Krylon recommend either recoating in 24 hours or waiting 7 days...

Ok well I stripped all the paint off with acetone and got the stock back down to the original material.  I sanded it with 220 grit to make sure everything was good for the second try.

I sprayed one coat and let it dry enough outside so I could move it inside.  I think the heat and humidity in the garage may be what caused the paint not to stick last time around.

If you have any other advice on how long to wait before putting the stencil on and doing the second color let me know.  I don't want to have to start over again.
Thanks

Sanding should have taken care of any issues.  I think you will be good to go.
