Yup, pretty much what was said above: the vertical adjustment knob has been changed from the old worm drive to a clamping mechanism.  It's much easier to work with.  But in reality, you are going to set the vertical placement and never touch it again.  The hyper series also has the breakaway feature.  This is a cool feature, but not overly necessary unless you are doing a lot of high speed/high angle work that could possibly snag your goggles. 

As for the focus adapters, the Tarsier is very cool with the adjustable iris setup, but I like the Hoplite lockup to the goggle much better.  The price is also better on the hoplite.

Unless your concerned with an adversary seeing some light splash, if not save some dollars for some ammo and training.
