I've had my DBAL A3 for just shy of a year and I've only used it a handful of times. I hadn't used it in a few months but this past weekend I went to use it and the illuminator is barely visible. With even the pointer on low power the illuminator is not visible, it gets washed out. I've tried several brand new batteries the pointers both vis and IR work fine.

What do you mean with the pointer on low power the illuminator is barely visible? Are you sure the lum is actually on high? No issues with Steiner CS. Good folks to deal with. I had that exact issue with my I2. Illuminator suddenly was very dim, even on high. CS had an RMA for me within an hour, should have it back next week. This is what's happened to mine. Illuminator only setting and it's barely visable. Combine it with a pointer and it's not seen at all. |
