We finally got around to taking some comparison pictures of the new MOD-3 "Bravo" bridge .  Here are the technical differences in the standard MOD-3 bridge and the new MOD-3 Bravo Bridge. The standard bridge is on the left, and the bravo is on the right.

1) The Bravo bridge will accept anvis style mounts as you can see the 2 power contacts on the right side.

2). The IR illuminator has been moved up and over to the side of the bridge.

3). The release latches are much more user friendly and The neck lanyard attachment point has been improved to hang lenses down as opposed to lenses out.

4). Last, but not least is the switch to an aluminum frame vs plastic. The female dovetail that the pods slide into will be changed to aluminum.

Looks like a great revision. I might upgrade my two MOD3s!

Augee should be very pleased.

Excellent comparison pics.

For those with an Alpha MOD3, will Alpha pods work on a Bravo bridge?

If so, as already asked above, what is a Bravo bridge cost?

Thanks!

"The Bravo bridge will accept anvis style mounts as you can see the 2 power contacts on the right side"

How does this work? Salvage the ball mount off an Anvis bridge, and replace the dovetail?

I think there is a special adapter for this but will confirm.

Yes it works with all pods.

$75ish dollars more so $700 vs $630.

Any chance of adding the option to use the pvs-7 spot/flood assembly now that it looks to have the room?

Electrical contacts: so this means it can be used with the avs external battery packs?

I bought one from UNV last week and it's the Bravo version. I didn't know there was two models. Good timing I guess.

I have pics of the anvis adapter, I'll try and post pics later.

I found some time.

I know I shouldn't be looking a gift horse in the mouth, but that's the most painfully awkward ANVIS adjustment interface I've ever seen...

Seriously, I was so excited when I heard about this at first, but that over-complicated, over-exposed system knocked the wind out of my sails.

That is about how i feel about it too. That and this is too little too late for me. I already created my battery adapter and battery packs so I solved the issue now that I've also already sold all my anvis mounts. lol.

Honestly, the saddest thing about it is that not only does it look needless complex and easily jammed by debris and took forever to be released, but the other thing it means is that nothing better is coming for a long, long time, if ever.

I'm pretty sure I was one of the first adopters of the MOD-3, and I was super excited about the ANVIS adapter as UNV, among others can vouch for, but this is kind of a disappointment.

Anyways, I'm gonna stop whining about it for now unless there's new information to add, but I'm not in a rush to be the first kid on the block to get this.  Maybe if there's one at SHOT and I can actually have the new adjustment mechanism in hand it'll win me over.

::shrug::

I was hoping for something like the Sentinel design.  Is this anvis adapter a prototype? Looks like it would be difficult to use the knob (center).

Just wanted to post some photos of my set that just came in from Ryan at Nightlong with the new housing. Upgrading from a TNVC-14. Had a buddies' 14 for a while too, with a bridge setup, but once I had to return it, it was time to upgrade to the dual tubes. Couldn't be happier with these and the system is perfect for me, as I love popping one tube off, slipping on the battery pack and using the handheld one to take NVG photos through. Going to be perfect for sharing with my wife so we can both run a tube. The new housing feels super solid and strong, and I'm just sticking with the dovetail for now. The through-tube photos below are just with an iPhone.

Will the older standard model now be phased out to bravo production?
